In the context of manufacturing activities increasingly aligned with the global market’s sustainable development requirements, many factories—particularly in the footwear, textile, and electronic components industries—are proactively adopting international green standards such as LEED to enhance operational efficiency, improve working environments, and strengthen their competitiveness in export markets.
VILANDCO is proud to have accompanied the investor on its sustainability journey, as the Ngoc Dang Footwear Co., Ltd. project officially achieved LEED Silver certification under the LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction rating system in January 2026. This milestone marks an important step in the company’s transition toward a modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly production model.
From the early investment stage, the investor defined a clear objective not only to build a factory that meets production requirements, but also to ensure long-term operational efficiency, energy savings, and environmental responsibility. This vision was translated into practice through the application of international standards in the design and construction process.
During implementation, the project focused on optimizing energy performance, water management, material selection, and indoor environmental quality. The building systems were designed for high efficiency, reducing electricity consumption during operation. The factory and office spaces were carefully organized to maximize the use of natural daylight and minimize reliance on artificial lighting.
In addition, integrated solutions for water and material management were applied, helping to reduce environmental impacts throughout the building’s life cycle. Thanks to this comprehensive approach, Ngoc Dang Footwear Co., Ltd. successfully met the stringent requirements of the LEED rating system and achieved the Silver level.
Achieving LEED certification not only represents technical excellence but also delivers tangible value to the enterprise. The building operates more efficiently, energy costs are better controlled, working conditions are improved, and the company’s brand image is strengthened within the global supply chain, where ESG criteria are increasingly emphasized.
As a consulting and implementation partner in the field of green buildings, VILANDCO worked closely with the investor to develop sustainable strategies, select appropriate solutions, and complete the certification documentation. The success of the Ngoc Dang Factory further demonstrates that industrial projects in Vietnam can fully access and achieve international green standards when supported by a well-defined strategy from the outset.
The Ngoc Dang Factory’s LEED Silver certification is not only a milestone for the project itself, but also a testament to the growing momentum of green industrial development in Vietnam.
