Recently, the Tien Son Primary School Classroom Block Construction project has been officially certified with LOTUS. Participating in the project, VILANDCO is honored to be the green certification consultant accompanying the investor CapitaLand, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and domestic and international partners.
The project is located on the campus of Tien Son Primary School, in Thuong Lat Village, Tien Son Commune, Viet Yen Town, Bac Giang Province, started in March 2024 and completed in August 2024 with a two-story classroom block including six classrooms and four toilets to meet the learning needs of more than 200 students. The project has a total investment of about 7 billion VND, by the CapitaLand Hope Charity Fund in cooperation with Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and construction partners.
The project was assessed and certified under the LOTUS Small Buildings V1 system, achieving LOTUS Certified certification thanks to the integration of green spaces and sustainable design, creating a nature-friendly learning environment. Inspired by traditional Vietnamese handicrafts, the school’s design simulates the natural brick walls of Tho Ha village, while the school roof evokes the bamboo slats of the local rice paper production industry, as well as the image of an open book, providing students with space and inspiration for learning. - The average luminous efficacy is higher than 108 lm/W.
- Project install efficient toilet and urinal.
- Choose native plants to reduce domestic water demand for irrigation.
- All occupied areas have fresh air supply through natural ventilation.
- 100% occupied area has daylighting.
- 47,30% of the site area is covered with vegetation.
