EDGE – A Smart and Efficient Green Building Solution

The EDGE certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is a green building assessment system developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC – a member of the World Bank Group). Launched in 2014, EDGE aims to promote sustainable construction in developing countries, focusing on practical solutions that help reduce costs, minimize energy, water, and material consumption, while lowering carbon emissions.

EDGE can be applied to most common types of buildings.

EGDE Home applied to residential projects.

EGDE Hospitality applies to hotel projects.

EGDE Office applies to office projects.

EGDE Retail & Light Industry applies to industrial projects.

EGDE Hospital applies to healthcare facility projects.

EGDE Education applies to school projects.

  • Level 2: EDGE Advanced

Be certified with an on-site energy savings of 40% or more.

  • Level 3: Net Zero Carbon
