On March 15, 2024, the DxHub event with the theme “Green Real Estate and Guide to Applying Green Building Certification in Vietnam” took place at the FPT Tower. The event aimed to update participants on the latest trends in the real estate sector, explore green growth strategies, and discuss the implementation of ESG in industrial real estate development.

The event featured speakers from FPT Digital, IFC, and VILANDCO, who discussed the current state of the green real estate market in Vietnam, explored green growth strategies, and discussed the implementation of ESG in the development of industrial real estate. They also provided recommendations and guidance to promote green transformation in the real estate industry.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Hong Phong, a representative from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Vietnam, stated that IFC’s activities in the construction and real estate sectors focus on two main objectives: mitigating the impact of the construction industry on the environment and human health, and enhancing the resilience and adaptability of buildings and green real estate.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of VILANDCO, shared insights from the perspective of an expert directly involved in green building projects in the country. In addition to introducing some notable EDGE, LEED, and LOTUS projects, he shared practical experiences in implementing green buildings in Vietnam, from the initial development stages to the current boom in green demand. His presentation included illustrative examples of green-applied projects, making it easier for the audience to visualize and understand the ideas and requirements of green building rating and certification systems, thereby motivating them to apply these principles to their own projects.

The DxHub event concluded with a Q&A session between participants and speakers, providing an opportunity for experts to address any questions and challenges businesses face during the green transformation of the real estate and construction markets in Vietnam.
