WHAT IS GREEN BUILDING MATERIALS ?
Green materials are simply understood as environmentally friendly building materials that can be recycled and decomposed. Their lifespan is often long and during use they do not cause negative impacts on the environment or the health of users throughout their life cycle.
The production of green materials has two main criteria:
- Use less energy to produce.
- The use process consumes less energy.
WHY SHOULD WE USE GREEN MATERIALS IN CONSTRUCTION?
Easy to use and recycle
Green materials are local materials, easy to find and use. Environmentally friendly, durable. After demolition, they can still be easily recycled for other purposes.
High quality and long life
Green materials are often applied with modern technology and undergo strict production processes to ensure the applicability and durability of the product.
Saving environmental resources
Using green materials helps minimize negative impacts on the surrounding environment, helps reduce toxic waste discharged into the environment and ensures the health and safety of users.
Cost savings
The production cost of green materials is often higher than that of conventional materials, but it significantly reduces the costs during use as well as the costs incurred. Green materials can be completely reused after dismantling.

With certifications such as Green Labels and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), construction material products have broader opportunities in the export market to developed countries and a higher chance of meeting some criteria in green building rating systems.
Recognizing the complexity and challenges involved in obtaining green labels and EPDs, Vilandco has developed a certification registration process tailored for construction material manufacturers and suppliers. Our aim is to simplify the process, helping businesses embrace sustainability in their products, demonstrate environmental responsibility, and gain a strategic advantage in both the domestic and global construction material markets.

01. GREEN LABEL
Green Label Singapore
is Singapore’s environmental certification program, managed by the Environmental Management Group (EMG) under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the Ministry of Finance of Singapore.
Singapore Green Building Product
is managed by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore. BCA is the government agency responsible for developing and overseeing standards and regulations related to sustainable construction in Singapore.
02. EPD CERTIFICATION CONSULTING
Environmental Product Declaration – Tuyên bố Sản phẩm về Môi trường
là một tiêu chuẩn quốc tế được sử dụng để đo lường và tuyên bố tác động môi trường của sản phẩm và dịch vụ. EPD xuất phát từ một loạt tiêu chuẩn và hướng dẫn được phát triển bởi International Organization for Standardization (ISO), đặc biệt là tiêu chuẩn ISO 14025 và ISO 14040/44 – đánh giá chu kỳ vòng đời và tuyên bố sản phẩm về môi trường.
Với EPD, các nhà sản xuất vật liệu xây dựng không chỉ đảm bảo sản phẩm của mình tuân thủ các yêu cầu bền vững, mà còn giúp khách hàng thỏa mãn một số tiêu chí trong các hệ thống đánh giá công trình xanh như LEED, BREEAM hay Green Star, từ đó tăng đáng kể tính cạnh tranh so với các sản phẩm khác trên thị trường.

Life Cycle Assessment – Đánh giá vòng đời
Life Cycle Assessment (đánh giá vòng đời) là một phương pháp xác định tác động môi trường của sản phẩm, dự án, hoặc quy trình trong suốt toàn bộ chu kỳ vòng đời của chúng.
Thực hiện LCA giúp cung cấp thông tin cơ bản để cải thiện hiệu suất môi trường, tối ưu hóa sử dụng tài nguyên, thúc đẩy quyết định và hành động bền vững. Đối với các hệ thống đánh giá công trình xanh, LCA là phương pháp quan trọng giúp dự án đáp ứng và đạt điểm trong một số tiêu chí.
