Angsana Quan Lan – A Green Resort Project Pursuing EDGE Advanced Certification
The Angsana Quan Lan project is targeting EDGE Advanced certification for its hotel block and 37 resort villas, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable development on Quan Lan Island. Its building design and technical systems are optimized for energy, resource, and operational efficiency, while minimizing environmental impacts on the island ecosystem.
The project uses unburnt bricks for internal partition walls, reducing CO₂ emissions compared to traditional fired materials. High-efficiency air-conditioning systems, combined with LED lighting throughout the resort, significantly lower electricity consumption. A heat recovery system with about 75% efficiency further enhances energy performance by effectively reusing waste heat. In addition, heat pumps with COPs of 3.8–4.0 provide hot water with minimal electricity use, meeting the stringent requirements of EDGE Advanced.
With these integrated green solutions, Angsana Quan Lan not only delivers a premium resort experience but also contributes positively to the sustainable tourism goals of Quan Lan Island.
