HealthCity Novena (IIHC): A Smart Healthcare Ecosystem in the Heart of Singapore 

Where Advanced Infrastructure Meets Human-Centric Design Strategically located in the most vibrant medical hub of the Lion City, HealthCity Novena (IIHC) stands as a premier example of the seamless integration between modern healthcare infrastructure and human-centric architecture. Spanning a vast floor area of 81,290 sqm and completed in 2018, this complex transcends the traditional clinical model to become an ideal “healing environment.” The design of IIHC moves away from the rigid atmosphere of conventional hospitals, introducing expansive indoor and outdoor communal spaces that foster tranquility, ensuring that both patients and medical staff remain comfortable and energized.

Redefining Wellness with Greenmark Platinum Standards Upholding its status as a Greenmark Platinum certified green building, the project leveraged Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to master the science of natural ventilation. Through high-precision airflow simulations, the design optimizes the circulation of fresh air throughout the facility, which is proven to accelerate patient recovery times and enhance indoor environmental quality. Ensuring natural thermal comfort for communal spaces not only significantly reduces energy costs but also fulfills IIHC’s commitment to a sustainable medical model-where human health and the planet’s well-being are held in the highest regard.
