On the morning of October 15, 2026, FPT Corporation held the groundbreaking ceremony for Digital Technology Building No. 1, located in the Digital Technology Urban Area, Tay Tuu Ward, Hanoi. With a total gross floor area of approximately 69,831.5 m², the building is expected to accommodate approximately 6,000 personnel, with the aim of establishing a modern workplace and technology research and development hub that fosters innovation and attracts highly skilled talent from both Vietnam and abroad.
The project has received attention and support from Hanoi municipal leaders and relevant departments and agencies throughout its implementation. This support provides an important foundation for advancing project progress while contributing to the realization of the vision of developing the Digital Technology Urban Area into a thriving technology and innovation ecosystem.
VILANDCO Supports the Project’s Goal of Achieving LEED Gold Green Building Certification
VILANDCO is honored to serve as the LEED BD+C green building certification consultant, with the project targeting Gold certification, working alongside the project owner to implement the LEED requirements applicable to new construction projects.
Green building principles are being integrated into the project through the consideration of design and construction solutions aimed at enhancing resource efficiency, optimizing operational performance, and improving indoor environmental quality. Key focus areas include:
- Energy and Building Performance: Identifying solutions to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption during building operations.
- Water and Resources: Evaluating measures to promote water efficiency, improve resource management, and minimize waste generation.
- Materials and Environmental Impact: Encouraging the selection of appropriate materials, strengthening construction waste management, and reducing environmental impacts during construction.
- Indoor Environmental Quality: Promoting a comfortable working environment, maintaining indoor air quality, and supporting occupant health and well-being.
Implementing these measures in accordance with LEED BD+C requirements helps integrate sustainability objectives into the project from the design and construction stages. It also establishes a basis for assessing and verifying building performance under the certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Advancing Modern Technology Infrastructure and Sustainable Development
The integration of digital technology infrastructure with green building principles reflects an effort to develop a modern working environment that supports research, innovation, and efficient resource use. This approach is also aligned with increasingly stringent expectations for building performance, indoor environmental quality, and environmental responsibility in the construction sector.
VILANDCO congratulates FPT Corporation on the groundbreaking milestone of Digital Technology Building No. 1. Drawing on its experience in green building consultancy, VILANDCO is committed to supporting the project throughout the implementation of LEED requirements, working toward the LEED BD+C Gold certification goal and contributing to the development of a modern technology facility underpinned by sustainable development principles.
