Vietnam–Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) – Research Facility Achieving LOTUS Silver Certification
The Vietnam–Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) project is located in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi, with a total gross floor area of 6,311 m², comprising office spaces and research facilities. The project was developed between 2016 and 2022 and has been completed, targeting LOTUS NR V2.0 Silver certification, with VILANDCO serving as the green building consultant.
The project integrates various sustainable design solutions, including optimizing natural daylight for 80% of the total floor area, reducing water consumption by 40% through efficient sanitary fixtures, and utilizing LED lighting systems and high-efficiency VRV air-conditioning systems. These measures significantly reduce energy consumption compared to standard regulations. VKIST stands as a representative model of a modern, environmentally friendly, and operationally efficient research facility in Vietnam.
