During his visit to Vietnam, Mr. Santanu Dutta Gupta, Vice President of Market Development at GBCI/USGBC, along with representatives from VILANDCO, visited Hanoi Architectural University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, INTECH Technology and Investment Corporation, and Daibiru Company.
At the meetings with Hanoi Architectural University and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Mr. Santanu Dutta Gupta expressed his special interest and pleasure in visiting the universities. The parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in training, scientific research activities, and organizing conferences and seminars between GBCI/USGBC and the two universities.
Representatives from Hanoi Architectural University and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering also expressed their desire to incorporate the LEED green building rating system into their curricula as a course, contributing to fostering sustainable thinking among students and training high-quality human resources to meet market demands.
During the meeting between Mr. Santanu Dutta Gupta, representatives from VILANDCO, INTECH Group, and Daibiru Vietnam, the parties expressed a desire for long-term cooperation to promote LEED certification in projects in Vietnam. In the future, they hope to not only execute projects but also hold many workshops and events to share and disseminate knowledge and information about LEED and sustainable development in green building construction.
