Ahead of the grand opening of AEON MALL Hue, the seventh shopping center of AEON Group in Vietnam, a Tree Planting Ceremony representing AEON’s “Hometown Forest” tradition was held on August 25, 2024, under the theme “Nurturing a Green Home, Fostering a Healthy Life”. The event underscored the company’s commitment to sustainable business development and community engagement.
More than 5,000 trees, including varieties like lady palm, ixora, jasmine, dwarf ixora, gardenia, hibiscus, orange jasmine, and yellow apricot, were planted by two companies within the AEON MALL Hue premises.
Notably, the ceremony also marked the occasion where AEON MALL Hue officially received the LOTUS certification for green buildings from the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC). This recognition affirms AEON MALL’s commitment to environmental protection and its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of life for the local community, aligning with AEON Group’s core principles.
AEON MALL Hue is the first shopping center in Vietnam to achieve the LOTUS NC v3 certification, and the project is also pursuing the EDGE v3 certification. VILANDCO is honored to be the consulting unit for LOTUS and EDGE certifications, having supported the project from its inception.
