On May 7, the second Genesis Hanoi School was officially inaugurated.
Genesis School is one of the few school buildings in Vietnam to receive the LOTUS Green Building certification provided by VGBC. The LOTUS certification awarded to Genesis School is just one of many Green Building certifications consulted by the VILANDCO team in recent years.
Genesis Hanoi School is more than 12,000m2 wide and 60% of the area with many open spaces to ensure fresh air quality and keep students healthy. Thanks to the advice of an experienced team, the school has achieved the following typical green criteria:
- Reduce energy use by 60.9% thanks to the efficiency of building envelope design, air conditioning system and solar battery
- Reduce water use by 47.9%
- Collecting rainwater for landscape irrigation meets about 11.45% of the total water use of the building
- Vegetation cover occupies 39.2% of the land area, of which there is 835 m2 of green roof
- Low VOC paints, coatings and floors
- 94% of the usable space has a good-quality view of the garden landscape outside the building
With the full green criteria above, Genesis School is a potential school for students that can promote the spirit of learning and ensure external factors such as air, trees, and good vision create a great environment that protects students’ health.
