Continuing the activities in the Cooperation Agreement between Van Lang University and VILANDCO, on October 26, 2023, VILANDCO & VGBA combined with the Faculty of Construction of Van Lang University to organize the “BIM – Archicad experience Day” for students majoring in Construction Engineering.
With the purpose of creating an environment for students to learn and experience the features and applications of BIM Software – Archicad, the event attracted nearly 30 final-year students to register to participate. In addition to providing useful knowledge, students also directly experience basic usage of Archicad software. This is a design software developed by Graphisoft company and is considered the “revolution” for its ability to store large amounts of construction information in 3D models, while also providing solutions and supports for handling aesthetics and techniques in the process of designing construction models – buildings, interiors, urban planning, managing conflicts between designs, taking off quantities, analyzing and communicating construction information, construction simulation (4D), construction project budget estimation (5D), energy simulation (6D)…
At the end of the experience day, the students will continue to complete the homework of creating a building model and analyzing and takeoff the quantity of materials of the building like an actual project. The reward will be given by VILANDCO/VGBA to 8 students with the highest scores with a scholarship of 2 million VND/student for the basic Archicad course.
The 1-day period is short but is enough to help students have practical experiences. Access to software and analytical skills is the basic foundation to help students orient themselves, thereby learning to improve their knowledge, applying it to their graduation project, and is also a preparation to improve their job opportunities after graduation.
